"There are no gods here. Only monsters."
These words, along with astonishing soundtrack from the trailer

keep wandering in my head since the Witcher 4 reveal trailer on TGA. I have watched this trailer on live stream and it was absolute hell of the show.
That few months were crazy, but it's finally here! I had an amazing opportunity to work on this project in Platige Image for CD PROJEKT RED - my role was texturing and shading of the Main character - Ciri! Skin and eyes were done from scratch, armor was recived from client, used as a base but improved.
I was also responsible for all iterations of ciri - wounds on face, different states of eyes, states of dirt on clothes.
I also worked on the Girl's father, who is saying his goodbyes to her in the beginning. In his case I was also responsible for skin tex and shading, as well as improving clothes and creating bloodied variation from the end of the trailer.
Apart from that I did various troubleshooting and problem solving tasks thoughout the whole project - regarding shading texturing, character blueprints and in some case scene and lights debuging.
This project was especially personal to me, as first trailer for The Witcher 1 back almost 20 years ago got me interested in cinematics in general and im gaming, you could say it all started for me there. It was also done on Platige. Now, 20 years later I had a privilige to work on a cinematic for the very same company and very same IP on the main character for the new saga. Even though the project was long and very hard it was totally worth it!
Kudos to everyone involved, this is as always, effect of work of the whole team!
Special thanks to Karol Klonowski for amazing art guidance as art director and Miłosz Cieślikowski-Ryczko, great SV who made that managment-side possible! Additional thanks to Filip Adamiak - for support and guidance as amazing team lead, and the whole team you all did amazing work!
Enjoy!
