Secret Level Layla

About a year back I have had a great opportunity to work on Secret Level episode Good Conflict. It was amazing opportunity to add to this great series as Senior Surfacing Artist in Platige Image. The character, Layla is actually based on real actress Claudia Doumit.

I was responsible for whole surfacing aspect - texturing from scratch and creating shading networks, for clothes, body and groom, for 2 versions - wet and dry.

The software used was Substance Painter, Photoshop and Maya, Arnold. resources from TexturingXYZ were used as a base for the skin textures, then overpainted to match Art Direction needs, mood of the movie as well as likeness with concept of the character based on actress.

This was great project to work on, and thanks to all of my friends and collegues from Platige who made this episode possible and worked together on the battlefield to deliver top quality and storytelling :) Hope you enjoyed the episode and the character work!
